About us…

Our members create and edit biomedical information for organizations, corporations, universities, and government agencies. We have over 170 members in the Pacific Northwest, including British Columbia, Canada, and the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.

The majority of our members live in the greater Puget Sound area, but we also have significant numbers of members in other regions, particularly the Portland, Oregon area and Idaho/Eastern Washington.

When you join the American Medical Writers Association, you officially become a member of the Northwest chapter if you live within the geographical area we serve. You will be contacted by our chapter shortly after joining the national organization. If you’re uncertain about joining, you are welcome to attend one of our chapter meetings or other events to see what we’re all about. Watch our calendar for a schedule of area meetings.
