AMWA-NW Chapter
December Meeting

  • What: Susannah Bloch: “Charts and Graphics for Medical Writers
  • When: December 1, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Where: University of Washington South Campus Center Room 248/250 (in the Magnuson Health Sciences Building)

Do you want to add tables or charts to your written work, but don’t know where to start? What do PNG, TIFF, and EPS stand for? And is the Chart Wizard a character from Harry Potter or what?

These questions and more will be addressed at the AMWA-NW chapter meeting on December 1. Light refreshments will be served. If time allows, we’ll network and compare notes from the AMWA’s annual conference in Atlanta.

Susannah Bloch is a recovering scientist and freelance scientific editor based in Seattle. She received a master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Washington and a doctorate in Medical Physics from the Institute of Cancer Research, London. She has a long-standing interest in the process of turning numbers into pictures, and enjoys helping colleagues and clients create clear, informative graphics that support and enhance manuscripts, reports, and presentations.

There is no charge for this event, but please RSVP by November 24 to AMWA-NW Secretary Devon Schuyler if you’d like to attend. Thanks!
